About Association for Child Development

The Association for Child Development was founded in 1975 and became a Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) sponsor in 1977. We work to further child development--primarily by promoting nutrition.

We support home day care providers through the CACFP and offer special membership benefits to help these providers with all aspects of the child care business. In addition to home child care providers, we work with parents, educators, and other groups and organizations who have a vested interest in children or nutrition.

Our Mission Statement
“The Association for Child Development is a non-profit organization that educates parents and caregivers about nutrition to promote the development of children and establish healthy eating habits to last a lifetime.“
